A note about COVID-19

We hope you and your family are healthy and holding up well through the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19). While COVID-19 is causing disruption in our communities, we’re committed to making sure that our customers, agents, and candidates have the protection and support they need during this time.

Every day is different as the situation evolves, and we’re continuously adjusting our hiring practices to prioritize the health and well-being of our employees and candidates with our Core Values guiding our decisions.

Are you still hiring?

We are hiring for a number of roles and locations to ensure we’re supporting our customers when they need us most. Open jobs can be searched here. We welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences and encourage you to review each job’s qualifications before applying.

How do I know a Progressive job posting is legitimate? How can I protect myself from employment scams?

All Progressive applications are accepted through our career site. If you find a Progressive job posting on a third-party job site, such as Indeed, Glassdoor, or LinkedIn, please know that a legitimate posting will always point you to our applicant tracking system to apply. Progressive will not contact you via text without your prior consent, nor will we ask you to provide financial account information, such as bank account or routing numbers, as part of our application process.

If you’re contacted by someone via text message claiming to be a Progressive person before you’ve provided your contact information, or if you locate a Progressive job ad and sense it’s a scam, don’t share your personal information and don’t click on the ad. You can let us know by emailing us at phishing@email.progressive.com.

Are you canceling positions?

We are canceling positions situationally so we can minimize the amount of people at our locations in alignment with social distancing guidelines. If you have applied to a position, we will contact you if it’s canceled. Our career site will always have the most up-to-date and available positions posted there.

How are you conducting job interviews?

All of our interviews are being held virtually. If you are invited to interview with us, we will provide details about what to expect.

Will I need to work in an office?

Like you, we’re following developments of COVID-19 and recommendations being made by the CDC, State Departments of Health, the World Health Organization, and other government authorities. In this new era of social distancing and to prevent the spread and advance of the virus, we’re taking action in our offices/sites to ensure the health and well-being of our existing employees and new hires. Some of our new hires will be in an office to ensure they have access to all of the systems and tools they’ll need to learn the job and be set up for long-term success. If you interview with a recruiter or hiring team, they’ll specify your anticipated work arrangement, whether on-site, work from home, or a hybrid of the two.

What are you doing to keep employees safe?

We are consulting with medical experts including our Chief Medical Officer, evolving our contingency plans in every corner of our organization, and applying the recommended precautions across our locations. This includes measures to promote social distancing in our offices and frequent cleaning with products that eliminate viruses, to name a few.

We also understand that many people may be experiencing increased stress and anxiety due to the uncertainty associated with COVID-19. Our employee benefits include mental health and emotional support and resources, and our Fitness Center trainers are leading virtual workouts to help our people stay active at home.

We wish you and your loved ones well and thank you for your interest in a career with us.
