Sign & Glide covers the following services: Boat towing service : Assisting a disabled boat from the site of disablement to the nearest point of repair or removal Jump starts : Starting a boat's engine when the battery is dead or too weak Fuel delivery † : Delivery of gasoline, oil, or other fluids Disentanglements : Services to remove boat propellers from entanglements. Sign & Glide doesn't cover disentanglements that require a diver Soft ungrounding assistance : While soft groundings generally don't cause major damage, assistance is available through Sign & Glide if your boat/PWC is in a stable safe condition (not in dangerous surf), surrounded by water on all sides, and able to be rocked and refloated upon initial arrival or at the next tide within 15 minutes

Q: How much does Sign & Glide cost?

Sign and Glide costs $30/year in all states except Florida ($50/year) and is available for any boat or PWC on your policy. You pay nothing out of pocket except the cost of the delivered fuel.

How does Sign & Glide boat towing on water work?

Sign & Glide on-water towing is a boat towing service coverage that takes the worry out of on-water breakdowns. If your boat is disabled on the water, simply call our dispatch center, or use our Sign and Glide app, and we'll take it from there. We'll arrange and pay for the service you need, from on-water towing and jump starts to soft ungroundings and/or fuel delivery.

With this service, you're entitled to unlimited tows and no deductible.^* If you arrange your service without going through our dispatch center, reimbursement is available with limits of $250/per hour or $3,000/per disablement.

Pro tip:

Be patient while waiting for the tow to arrive at your location. It usually takes about 45-60 minutes for the licensed tow operator to arrive, although wait times may be longer during peak periods.

Are off-water tows or boat trailer breakdowns covered?

Boat roadside assistance is automatically covered if you have a trailer listed on your policy. If your boat trailer or tow vehicle is disabled, we'll tow you to the closest repair facility. Learn more about how boat trailers may be covered by insurance.
