Standard Coverages
Bodily injury & property damage liability (BI/PD)
Liability coverage is included on every e-bike policy and may protect you up to your coverage limits if you’re liable for someone else’s injuries or damages while riding.
Comprehensive & collision
Comprehensive coverage pays to repair or replace your e-bike if it's vandalized or stolen. Comprehensive also covers you against other events beyond your control, including fire, weather-related incidents, and collisions with animals. Collision coverage pays to repair or replace your bike if it's damaged in an accident, regardless of fault. A deductible applies for both coverages.
Accessories and custom parts equipment
Add comprehensive coverage to your Progressive e-bike policy, and we’ll automatically give you $3,000 in coverage for accessories , customizations, and equipment. When you file a claim, no depreciation is factored into the accessory’s value. You may purchase up to $30,000 in additional coverage for your accessories and equipment if needed.
Carried contents
Carried contents coverage can pay for the personal belongings you carry while riding your e-bike if the items are damaged in a covered loss.
Roadside assistance
Suppose you’re out riding, and your e-bike becomes disabled. Roadside assistance coverage will transport your e-bike to the nearest repair shop at no cost, anywhere in the United States or Canada.
How to insure an e-bike at Progressive
- Know your e-bike’s year, make, and model to get an accurate quote; you need the serial identification number to start a policy
- Manual bikes, e-bikes used for racing/stunting, and e-bikes with model years before 2010 aren’t eligible for coverage
- Unlicensed riders are still eligible for an e-bike policy with Progressive
